The lid has no insulation. I was told in the shop that the insulation is sold separately somewhere but not in Go Outdorrs. Without the insulating lid it is just a box.

Lid not double skinned so no air gap for insulation or foam insulation.

Lid not a tight/secure fit so cannot provide an airtight seal.

Try a cardboard box. Or 2/3 inside each other would be better.

The lid doesn't fit securely. There is no insulation in the lid. It does not keep things cool. Waste of money.

Like others here, there was no insulation in the lid, so I returned it. We checked the other 3 that were on the shelf, and they were all the same. This is not the fault of Go Outdoors, as all the boxes were manufacturer sealed.

Don't bother with this. No insulation in the lid, it doesn't close properly either so gaps at the top for bugs to get in and the heat to get in. Better available in Tesco for the same price. Spent our week camping cleaning up melted butter and gone off meat despite using multiple cool packs.

I bought this because of size, but it’s really no better than a picnic cool bag. I put frozen bacon in with frozen milk and 4 ice blocks. They all had completely defrosted by morning - at least everything was still cool. Not a terrible product, but not that great either.

We bought two off these cool boxes but the same week we found them on offer at morrisons for ten pounds each

The perfect product at a very reasonable price for keeping things cool..kept things cool for up to 8-10hrs in the heatwave

We bought this cool box because it is a reasonable size and looked similar to our old one. When we unpacked it we realised that there is no insulation in the lid. Can't imagine that it would work well in hot weather. We exchanged it for a more expensive coolbox.

We got this since it was on special offer for £10 (inc. discount card). Only been used for one camping trip so far, but it does what it is meant to do.

We placed a couple of freeze blocks and it helped keep the milk and a few other items cold enough for a few days. Worth the money.

The coolbox does an alright job of keeping food/drinks cool with plenty of ice packs, although upon taking the product apart I found it's literally made with styrofoam behind the plastic. Get what you pay for I suppose.

Let's be fair, this hasn't been developed by NASA and won't keep anything cold for extensive periods in desert like conditions but it costs £10 with the discount card. I've had mine now for almost a year and have had no problems with it particularly if you use a couple of cool packs on the bottom and then two more in the middle somewhere. All in all, great value.

This coolbox does the job well for the price and quite spacious

Not bad for the price you are paying, does the job and kept our stuff cold for 2 days with 1 bag of ice. The lid is very thin and not very insulated and does not seal well but you are getting what you pay for here. Not bad at all
