A spacious option for two people, with plenty of room to move around and store gear. Overall, the Hyena II tunnel tent from OEX is a solid choice for anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-set-up tent for their next outdoor adventure.
The Hyena II tunnel tent from OEX sounds like a great option for trekking adventures and wild camping. With a hydrostatic head of 5000, this tent is designed to keep you dry in heavy rain and is perfect for camping in harsher weather conditions. The speedy pitch time of ten minutes and light pack weight of 3 kg makes it easy to carry and set up, making it a great option for backpackers and hikers.
The tent has internal storage pockets, which are great for keeping your gear organized and easily accessible. There are also lantern hanging points, which make it easy to light up the tent at night. The tent has one door, two windows on the porch, and three ventilation points, which allow for excellent air circulation. The low tunnel design also allows air to pass over, making it a great option for camping on hills or in windy conditions.

Good tent for the money
There was enough room for myself, 2 dogs and my gear.
But one thing I would of liked is the light hook to be at the front of the tent, no the back.
Bought this after watching a guy on YouTube who uses this tent every weekend regardless of weather and really does give it good reviews. An Idiot Outdoors is the YouTuber. That's gotta be testament?!?
Terrible I purchased for a camp tries to attach the skins but came to find one off the clips on my tent were not in the right place to attach to the outer layer tried to return but lost bag for tent
I paid £60 after discounts. Used a few times in the summer, it held up well to rain and wind. It is a very good value tent.ould be good to have blinds in the windows. 5 star for the price.
High hydrostatic rating - heavy rain & kept me dry numerous times. Have upgraded guy-lines though. Easy pitch for solo camps. Room for 1 person, gear & their dog. Poles adequate for normal conditions.
This tent deserves more credit than the reviews I've read. I'm a weekend camper and out in all weather. OEX have done a great job for a low price. This tent will keep you bone dry believe me!
I like this tent. The materials used for the fly sheet are very good. You don’t usually get a 5000mm HH tent for £65, especially the size of it. Could have done with better poles and pegs though
Went camping up loch venachar, tent was fairly easy to set up once we figured it out, kept me dry and enough room for 2 people if you have a car nearby for keeping the rest of your kit and bag.
As a 60+ year old I found it a struggle to get into, erected it 3 times over a long weekend and every time it seemed to assemble differently, found that the inner tent was touching the outer tent.
The tent is 100 percent water proof would definitely recommend getting this tent it's also really easy to set up
This is a cheap tent.. Ill say it again, this is a cheap tent. But, its also a fabulous tent, easy to put up, 5000hh waterproof, great venting, and long enough to get a proper length bed in.
Used this for 2 nights solo camping, great little tent, definitely water tight, held heat in reasonably well.
Down side pegs are pish and the fly could do with being longer. Other than that great
Pros
Great length
1 person set up
Room for storage if only 1 person inside
Stealthy
Not too hot
No condensation
Cons
Awkward to align centres of poles and tarp
Door & floor have a gap so can be draft
Nice entry-level tent, especially for use in mild conditions. Uses fibreglass poles, but to be expected at this price. My overall opinion, will get you out there without busting the bank. Good value
Have owned 3 OEX tents, this one being the cheapest. On balance the saving over the alloy pole models makes it a poor compromise. Phoxx 2 v2 is far better bet. Cheap fibreglass poles/pegs are a joke.
Very impressed! The porch space is priceless for cooking and having your boots/ water etc overnight. The inner isn’t fitted from new so I’d recommend attaching it first at home before going camping.
