The Limit journey started in 1884 when Alfred Hirst established ‘Hirst Brothers’ in Oldham. Alfred Hirst’s goal was to create timepieces, jewellery, and optical goods for everyone. Within a few years, the business began to grow, and further shops opened up in Manchester and Birmingham. In 1912, his range of watches saw the introduction of the Limit trademark which launched a new era in the watchmaking industry. Over a century later, the initial principles that the brand was created on are still paramount and exhibited within the quality and elegance of their products today.
